Variety Overview:
Texas Everbearing:
Fig is medium to large size, with whitish-amber exterior, and amber interior. It is very sweet and has drop of resin at the entrance to the eye which makes it more impervious to mischievous insects and souring after a rain.
Little Miss Figgy:
Delicious dark purple figs with rich strawberry-red centers, and dark green leaves with deep lobes.
Tena:
Light colored fig, good flavor, mildly sweet with light to no seed crunch, smooth finish, medium fruit size.
Celeste:
Small to medium fig with light brown to violet skin and strawberry pulp. Pyriform with tapering neck. Small, closed eye. The eye remains green until the fig is almost ripe (unlike Brown Turkey). Very cold hardy. Excellent fig.
NWA Unknown:
This is the NWA Unknown fig. This fig was foraged locally in Northwest Arkansas and does not resemble any fig varieties that we are familiar with. It is a deep berry flavored fig with purple flesh. Handles the zone 6/7 winters easily.
Dalmatie:
The main crop fruits are very big and look enormous when compared to the small size of the tree. The fruit is very dense, sugared and surprisingly, if it rains a little before harvesting, then it becomes juicier without losing its qualities. When perfectly ripe, a drop of sugary honey flows from the eye.
