The Flanders Fig originated in California and is a unique fig variety with a long neck and medium size. Its skin is brownish-yellow with violet stripes and the flesh is amber in color. This fig is considered excellent due to its abundant crops in late June (breba) and late August (main crop). It has a tight eye and is suitable for both drying and fresh consumption. This fig is sweet and full of flavor, making it an outstanding choice.

Site and Soil: Figs like 1/2 day to full sun and well-drained soil.
