Nero 600m is one of the most productive varieties here. The Nero 600m fig was discovered in Italy in the Apennine Mountains, specifically in Vallecalda di Borgofornari. Being from a mountainous region, this variety has excellent cold-resistance. Nero 600m is also known to be hardy, an easy rooter, and rain-resistant. The number in the fig’s name signifies that the original tree of this variety was grown in a nursery at an elevation of 600 meters
